Just another WordPress.com site. Archive August, 2011. Spencer Island – August 7. It was chilly and foggy this morning when I arrived at Spencer Island near Everett for a walk. The thermometer was only 54 and I had expected warmer when I left Seattle. Ruddy Ducks were in the settling pond as I parked the car and a Great Blue Heron flew away as I walked down the road toward the bridge to Spencer Island. The wild flowers were out in abundance. These were common along the trail. Honey Bee working the flowers.
