natalisms: Solitary Hamsters
http://natalisms.blogspot.com/2006/07/solitary-hamsters.html
Fear has always been the reason behind the apathy that people try so hard to project. Why do we build walls? Because more often than not, we end up falling and getting hurt. We build walls to protect ourselves. Sooner or later though, we get tired of frontin' and keeping a stony facade. Finally, we decide that it's time to open up to the person we feel safest with. Why do we build walls? But the bigger question is, does such a person exist? Posted by Natalie Casuela-Quesada. Yun sa catcher in the rye!

Hunger that strikes at an inopportune time is an inconvenience. But ignoring the sounds of complaint my stomach gave out may have provoked a hypoglycemic fainting spell, which at the time, would have posed an even bigger inconvenience. It is thus with much appreciation that I thank God for the hundreds of. That line the streets of Manila every five meters or so. I asked a. For the local rip-off version of. And waited as another. Asked for a pack of cigarettes. Posted by Natalie Casuela-Quesada. Heheheh p...

natalisms: Evolution
http://natalisms.blogspot.com/2006/01/evolution.html
Nature, Mr. Allnut, is what we are put in this world to rise above. Katharine Hepburn in The African Queen, 1951. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. After the boom of technological advances in the last century, who can guess what's next? How could we have known that man would one day walk on the moon? Construct towers that reach the sky to mock the gods? Play music anytime and anywhere they go?

natalisms: Missing Nancy
http://natalisms.blogspot.com/2009/05/missing-nancy.html
It was a gloomy day. It looked like twilight in the morn, hinting at a slow drizzle, as several lazy clouds drifted together in a congregation. The ocean was gray, reflecting the skies above, and the waters were clam as night. The smell of rain was in the air, that of cold damp earth lingering with the scent of morning dew on grass. The beach was almost completely deserted, with a few seagulls revolving around a moldy, rotten boot that found its way to shore. She was crying in silence. E vil primadonna&#...

natalisms: Death to Fairytales
http://natalisms.blogspot.com/2005/08/death-to-fairytales.html
Kill Cinderella, and Long Live the Queen! Death to fairytales, I say. Who the hell invented them, anyway? Yes, it is true that implementing a law or catalyzing a movement that would abolish fairytales would result to an entire societal shift in paradigm. I mean, whoever would want to read about a Cinderella who had to work as a slave in her own house for the rest of her life because fairy godmothers don't exist? Or a Snow White who never woke up from her death simply because that would be impossible?

natalisms: Love and Herpes
http://natalisms.blogspot.com/2005/09/love-and-herpes.html
I stooped down to smell the roses. And missed Cupid's arrow by an inch. Life was beautiful. Each morning, I looked forward to the prospect of falling in love. I welcomed every opportunity. And when it finally came, stupidly enough, I missed it. What is it about love, anyway? At times, we find ourselves alone, surrounded by couples happily in love. The caged birds sing their odes of joy and we vomit. But soon enough, that feeling of nostalgia gets to us. Like herpes, love is contagious as hell. We seek fo...

Suicide By Coffee: January 2011

My idea of a perfect day: A cup of coffee, a lit cigarette, A Lover, Friends. Monday, January 17, 2011. Ready, Set, Uhmmm. Sometimes when expectations fall short hearts break. Torn between love and the fear of falling in love all over again, I begin to question every step I take in my pursuit of finding the right person to risk everything once again. If only it were easy. If only being burned in the past doesn’t haunt me. If only he’s perfect. But no one is. Love letters and idealisms by Noel Abelardo.

In the sea of people around me, I sit here pondering the eternal question, “why the F am I still alone? 8221; And yet, as I look around, I can’t help but wonder if they’re happy too? Or are they just riding the waves of life praying that it wouldn’t be as hard. Are they pretending to be content on the one person sitting beside them? 171; Older Posts. A part vegeta...

Suicide By Coffee: August 2012
http://soul_images.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
My idea of a perfect day: A cup of coffee, a lit cigarette, A Lover, Friends. Thursday, August 09, 2012. Attack of the Mush: To Chuck. I remembered how every Sunday we went out at our favorite “tambay” place at Rockwell. She studied and I, drew, read a book, wrote, or edited photos. We used to think that there’s too much drama in our lives and heck, maybe there still is, but we like that. Recently, we don’t get to see each other anymore. She was in a family of doctors so you could imagine the pressure.

You don't look at me the same way anymore. Like the wallpaper on the bathroom wall. It's the little things that count. But it's also the little things that miss your attention. When something becomes routine. We take things for granted. You wouldn't notice if I took just one step back. Air is only important when there is none. Posted by Natalie Casuela-Quesada.
