E and J Brooks Family. Wednesday, July 10, 2013. For Liesel's birthday I made a bird cake. It fits her personality for several reasons:. 1 I spent most of the last year carrying her around on one arm, like she was a bird and I her perch. 2 If she was not on her perch she would cry, which we came to refer to as squawking. We're also glad that since she started crawling the time that she spends squawking has decreased significantly. Either way, very early on we took to calling her 'lady bird.'.

So apparently two is quite a bit more work than one, especially when Liesel likes to be awake at night and Ella likes to be awake during the day. The first couple of weeks Liesel looked like this during the day:. And like this at night. Basically she cried, pooped and tooted ever night from 10 pm until 5 am. Good thing she's cute right. E and J Brooks Family. Monday, April 8, 2013. We went to the Island a few weeks ago and had my Dad take some family photos. Before that my best shots of the family were these ones:. Needless to say they left something to be desired, I wanted a picture sans toys/nose picking (Ella), no kids scowling (Liesel) and maybe a backdrop slightly more beautiful than our fence.
