Tony Sharples' Ramblings. True outdoor and fishing stories. August 2, 2016. THE START OF A JOURNEY. I awoke with a start. I was trapped in a coffin. The air that I breathed was stale and warm. I couldn’t move except to turn my head. Panic started to set in and then I remembered I was snuggled in a sleeping bag, sleeping under the stars, next to a camp fire at Midmar dam. No parents to fuss over us and the ability to do as we pleased. Let me add that my hunting is now done with a camera and a long lens.
