One of the constants throughout my childhood and adult years has been a need to make lists of books. As a child, the lists involved the books that were in our house (and there were many, many books) that were used to play "library". As I got older, the lists evolved into books that were to be. I had just one day to do this so this is how I did it:. 600 Drove from home to Milton Keynes train station. 741 Caught train from Milton Keynes to Bangor via Chester. 1055 Took a taxi to Llanberis (having just missed the bus due to train being late and next one not for another hour). 1115 Reached Llanberis and started walking. 1445 Arrived at summit of Snowdon. 1640 Noseyed around Electric mountain visitor centre in Llanberis.

Yesterday, I noticed that many of the Yellow Loosestrife. Flowers had fallen and were decorating the grass underneath the plant. My plan to take photographs of them there was hastily revised because the flowers are also lying below the Bottle Brush plant, which is in bloom and full of bees and wasps! 25 July 2010 at 16:58.

I enjoyed trying out the b&W yesterday, and will try again but I can't do without colours for long. Taking advantage of the "back to school" offers, (which seem earlier every year, a bit like Christmas shopping) I bought myself a set of acrylic colours :D. I intend to enjoy them, though and am quite childishly excited about starting.
