Visitor Center - Topanga Canyon Docents

Open on Sundays from 10am-3pm January through July. The Visitor Center is a natural history museum that gives information about the history, plants, wildlife and trails in Topanga State Park. Current exhibits include Native American artifacts and several taxidermy animals such as a mountain lion, bobcat, deer and red tail hawk. Topanga Canyon Docents can get volunteer hours by staffing the Visitor Center and answering questions that park visitors have. Trail maps are also available.

April 22, 2015. Naturalist Education Program Fall 2015. Fall Training Registration Form. The classroom and in-the-field training takes place on alternating Saturdays and includes docent-led interpretive walks on several Sundays from September through December. All classes are held at the Trippet Ranch Visitor Center in Topanga State Park. The fall 2015 dates will be: September 12 and 26. October 10 and 24. November 7 and 21. October 4 and 18. And November 1 and 15. Chumash and Tongva Cultures.
