Thursday, 14 May 2015. Rooksbury Water Voles - August 2014. Lunchtime wildlife trips seemed to have dried up during the first half of 2014, but come August with the sun basking down on Andover, I managed to escape the office for an hour and headed down to Rooksbury Mill. Lots of Water Vole. Activity on the back streams, and several individuals showed themselves often munching on a watercress supper, such characters! Saturday, 16 May 2015. Pennington Marsh - 31st August 2014. As Summer waned into Autumn we headed down to the South Coast one Sunday morning for a long walk around Pennington and Keyhaven Marshes. Plenty of waders on show in some gorgeous light. Bar tailed Godwit and Redshank. Catching my eye. Sandwich Terns. Perched just off the shoreline hard to miss in the bright sunshine.
