When initially founded the Wedgewood Cycling Team, as part of its mission to fundraise and build awareness for the BC Cancer Foundation organized an annual road race and an annual cyclocross race. The road race, the Westside Cycling Classic. Races were held at Jericho Beach from 2005 to 2007 and found a new home at New Brighton Park in 2008 where it has received great reviews as a well designed “euro” course.
