Being a gentleman and a conspicuous foreigner in a country of strict etiquette, I wait. After a couple of minutes, a Japanese gentleman is waiting behind me. Dec 15th, 2010. One thing I've noticed since I've been out here is that I just can't pound mochi like I used to. I mean, it's a tough job to start with, but it's getting harder and harder every December. Not just for me, either. The other guys are tiring. My aching fingers can hardly type, so I'm gonna leave it here. Looking forward to a hot bath. My arms are gonna be in rough shape in the morning. Being japanese peanut butter.
