Wine Links - Wine Pourings
http://www.winepourings.com.au/news-reviews/wine-links
These are all wineries that we have some personal connection with, either by being on their mailing list, buying and drinking their wines often, frequenting their cellar doors, or knowing the wine makers or owners. Almost without exception, we would recommend their wines and a visit to their cellar doors.

Musing Simply: June 2006
http://musingsimply.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
Fuzzy slippers, world injustice, and everything in between. Saturday, June 17, 2006. Well, it's almost in the bag. I will hopefully close on my first home on July 31st! It's a sweet little house in Arena, WI about 30 miles west of Madison so it will be. A little bit of a drive. That's alright, though - it's in the country with deer and wild turkeys running about. I will have a great yard - there are several mature evergreens already and beautiful landscaping, so I don't need to do much right away. My fri...

Musing Simply: Down Under (Part 2)
http://musingsimply.blogspot.com/2006/06/down-under-part-2.html
Fuzzy slippers, world injustice, and everything in between. Friday, June 09, 2006. Down Under (Part 2). My 3 week trip to Australia was absolutely wonderful - it's the best vacation I have. Ever taken. For those bloggers out there who are thinking about going to Oz, I could give you a lot of travel advice being that I personally planned my entire trip. With 4 other people - it was pricey but worth every penny! Then it was on to Perth, WA. I pretty much relaxed for 3 nights and watched the Winter Olym...

wine nomad: July 2011
http://wine-nomad.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 26, 2011. Barossa Wine Tasting at The Oak Barrel. Bucketing down. Dashing through the rain drops on a Wednesday evening is not my idea of an ideal way to start a wine tasting. Or maybe it is. I deserve. A Barossa tasting of two of the stalwarts who are part of the reason this region is world renown, and two emerging which I’ve been hearing a lot about but hadn’t had the opportunity to try at The Oak Barrel. OK Must admit, this is one of my favourite. 2009 The Steading Banc -. 8211; Price $80.

Tasting Notes:
http://tastingnotes.blogspot.com/2004/10/classic-wines.html
Tasting Notes contains just that notes on wines I have tasted! Thursday, October 14, 2004. GR 113 Rare Rutherglen Muscat. Not quite as deep in color as the Tokay but a much richer wine with toffee and caramel and ripe raisins, and a beautifully long finish. An amazing concentration of flavor and complexity from the moment the glass reaches your nose. This is Australian Muscat at its best. 2, 2, 4.5, 10.7 = 19.2/20. Tasted December 12, 2004 at Seppeltsfield, Barossa Valley. DP 59 Rare Rutherglen Tokay.
