Choosing Papua New Guinea. Brian and Ray helping the guys with a building project. All in all, there are benefits and drawbacks to living in town. We enjoy the running water and electricity as well as the huge market, but we miss the interaction we have with our PNG family. Fortunately, Yall village is not too far away! Choosing Papua New Guinea. Monday, May 18, 2015. Practice does not make perfect. So in an effort to make this experience edifying, I've been reflecting on how I do this in my own life. Where do I forge ahead thinking I've mastered something, when I should be pulling back and taking it note by note? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Follow the blog by email. Wednesday, August 1, 2012. The Journey To Donner. Being anemic my whole life was another physical and mental battle. With low levels of hemoglobin in my blood I definitely battle a tired and limited body when it comes to sustained, strenuous activity. Despite the physical and mental battles, there still remained a level of mystery in what it would be like to complete a triathlon. But for now I put that thought on the back shelf. I was feeling very fresh still. I went for it. I upped my cadence and fo...

Expressions: A Visitor at Home
http://jenderr.blogspot.com/2008/05/visitor-at-home.html
Saturday, May 17, 2008. A Visitor at Home. I've been home for a few days. It's been good in some ways. Many things are still the same. Some things never change. Is this where God has called me to be? I'm not sure what He has prepared for me. Each time I return I feel more like a visitor. Just being and resting before moving on again. Being home reminds me of the direction I lack. And how mentally hard it is being a wanderer. I desire stability, to invest in a place and receive. View my complete profile.

Expressions: Looking Forward to Looking Back
http://jenderr.blogspot.com/2008/10/looking-forward-to-looking-back.html
Tuesday, October 28, 2008. Looking Forward to Looking Back. Sometimes life is harder that I thought. When I'm caught between the ideal and the ought. The real self is what I'm battling for. To know my Jesus and nothing more. All that I thought I knew. Disappeared when I met you. You have the bigger picture in mind. Calling me to set aside what I hope to find. I'm looking forward to looking back. And watching this haze disappear. Seeing you were holding me near. Asking me to face my fears.

Saturday, October 13, 2012. We cannot truly be known until we begin to share both our joys and our burdens with one another. The human heart has a deep longing to be known and to know others and it also has an incredible capacity to absorb and reflect the beauty of other hearts. What did they do for a living? Wednesday, January 30, 2008. I am a wanderer this is what I've known. Going here and there, pretty much everywhere. This life is a blessing but also a deep challenge. For I desire to explore but also have a home. But then I am remided that home is not a physical place. It is a state of my heart as I trust God and follow his path. Right now it seems to be taking me to random places. But these places are where my heart and my faith are being grown. This is a priceless concept for me to comprehend. Yet how ...
