TorrAGE originally resulted from a joint venture between Help the Aged (HtA) and TTVS following legacy funding left by Dick and Mary Sanders. In 2009 funding was received from the Big Lottery for the Neighbourhood Links project, which aimed to provide services for older people at a more local level, with greater involvement and leadership from the local community. Health and wellbeing can be enhanced by social interactions and activities.
