Monday, February 11, 2013. Home again, and so much to say and see about these islands. Arrived and went immediately to St. John to see friends from Jersey and Great Britain. St. John has not changed in so many ways. We visit our favorite beaches, including Salt Pond Bay. The coral is there, but not the fish. However, I hike to Drunk Bay and see the Artist has created fat babies and Jumbies out of stone and shells. Back to Tortola, and then to ****** Gorda. Definitely not changed. Links to this post.

This tiny island in the Whitsunday chain is probably the most commercial, home to some resort hotels as well as residences. Tuesday, September 22, 2009. From snow to cappuccino. Just a few more days and I'll be sipping cappuccino in Piazza San Marco.hearing Italian and watching the people and the pigeons. It's been a fun summer, from Viggo to Joe Cocker, but no mushrooms. At least my English Ivy and miniature roses, as well as some other perennials, have enjoyed the cool, wet weather. Sunday, November 18, 2012. Port Lincoln, Australia; 15 November 2012. A major fishing port, Port Lincoln is also a crummy looks-like-its-been-used-hard sort of town. The locals are open and friendly, but down to earth and practical, especially in their creative approach to making money off of cruise ship visitors!
