Newcastle University Conservative Future: Thatcher! The Musical
http://nucf.blogspot.com/2007/03/thatcher-musical.html
Thursday, March 01, 2007. Newcastle CF went to see. On Thursday 1st March at Newcastle's Northern Stage. It was a thoroughly entertaining night and the musical was brilliant - even if we didn't always agree with how things were being portrayed. One thing that struck us was how well all of the women playing Margaret Thatcher pulled off her voice - it was very convincing. The musical begins with Margaret Thatcher appearing in a giant handbag - Narrator Maggie. She was dressed in a camouflage dress. Others ...

Heather Stanton @ Blogspot. Views on the news, politics and other current affairs, from the perspective of a current UK student. Saturday, 2 June 2007. Apologies for my absence again - as has been the case for many of my NUCF blogging colleagues, exams have pretty much taken over my life in the past few weeks. However, my last exam was yesterday, and so now I can continue to write in this blog as I attempt to get along in something called "the real world", apparently! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Heather Stanton @ Blogspot. Views on the news, politics and other current affairs, from the perspective of a current UK student. Sunday, 6 May 2007. Sorry for my absence for some weeks now, but like most of my colleagues I have been busy with university work at the moment. I would, however, like to congratulate the new members of the NUCF Executive on their new positions - I have every confidence that you will do a sterling job and help each other out, in the longstanding NUCF principle.

Heather Stanton @ Blogspot. Views on the news, politics and other current affairs, from the perspective of a current UK student. Wednesday, 9 May 2007. I shouldn't be amused, but. For those of you who were unawares, the Labour Party and 10 Downing Street now have their own channels on YouTube. The latter recently posted the following video, of Tony Blair congratulating the new French President, Nicolas Sarkozy, on his election victory. In French. Even I could do better than that! I hope we will be able t...

Heather Stanton @ Blogspot. Views on the news, politics and other current affairs, from the perspective of a current UK student. Sunday, 11 March 2007. Arrest of Zimbabwe's opposition leader. The leader of the opposition MDC in Zimbabwe, Morgan Tsvangirai, has been arrested along with colleagues at a prayer meeting in Harare. Personally, I find that the most disturbing aspect of the situation is this -. A spokesman for the MDC, Eliphas Mukonoweshuro, said the protesters were not doing anything wrong.
