On Writing What You Love. December 19, 2016. Welcome to my lair. It’s a nice, cool, damp dungeon with various torture devices strewn about the wall and pink flower vases on the turquoise tables. There’s also brownies cooking in my dragon-fueled fireplace. It’s nice, don’t you think? Anyway, today I’m going to kind of tie in my NaNoWriMo journey (thoughts, more so? As well as a general writing post. So kick back on my unicorn leather chair, sip a little tea, enjoy a brownie. Did not work out. If I posted ...

September 2016 – The Jumping Bean
https://wendygreeneblogs.wordpress.com/2016/09
September 28, 2016. September 28, 2016. I don’t really know what this post is going to be about, honestly. I just feel like I need to write whatever it turns out to be. So I guess I’ll start out by explaining my novel situation. You all know that I’ve been ardently working on Where the Ghosts Lie, my military/espionage story for… Continue reading Deep Stuff. Helpful Sites – The Jumping Bean
https://wendygreeneblogs.wordpress.com/helpful-sites
Here are some of the most helpful websites I use to improve my writing and evaluation of other human’s writing! I LOVE this website! It’s super helpful and covers every topic imaginable. I use this one the most just because it’s easy to search (and understand, which makes me happy). Bryan Davis is the author of one of my favorite series and really pays attention to the teeny-tiny details when giving advice on his blog. I really enjoy it! Here’s another list of fellow bloggers that I absolutely.

Don’t Publish Your Novel (yet!) – The Jumping Bean
https://wendygreeneblogs.wordpress.com/2017/01/09/dont-publish-your-novel-yet/comment-page-1
Don’t Publish Your Novel (yet! January 9, 2017. January 9, 2017. FIRST POST OF THE YEAR! How are you all getting off in 2017? Have you consumed an entire package of Oreos in one sitting? I know a lot of us are young writers with big dreams. Much chocolate to devour. Life is s.h.o.r.t., right? You know, we have to “live life to the fullest” and all of that? Perhaps your goal for 2017 is to publish a novel. And that is FAN-TAS-TIC. If that’s your hope for the new year, I am absolutely thrilled. You may be ...

The Smell of Saturday | The Reid Who Writes
http://www.thereidwhowrites.com/2016/10/the-smell-of-saturday.html
Saturday, October 1, 2016. The Smell of Saturday. Sunlight streaming through the windows. Waking up because you want to, not because you have to. The music of the coffee pot. The brisk morning air. Three cups of tea with just a touch of honey. Children playing the front yard. Oak trees waiting to be climbed. The dust on old books longing to be read. Saturday smells like peace, freedom, adventure, fullness, mystery, and new beginnings. Oct 2, 2016, 1:34:00 PM. This makes my heart happy 3. Your blog is bas...

I saw Ben Rector in concert:. I discovered my love for black coffee:. After becoming obsessed with Gilmore Girls, I decided I'd try black coffee. I've ...

http://www.thereidwhowrites.com/2016/10/nanowrimo-why-i-write-episode-2.html
Saturday, October 29, 2016. NaNoWriMo / Why I Write Episode 2. It's been awhile, hasn't it? My apologies - I'm sure most of you know the pressures of high school, especially Junior Year. You have all these voices trying to get in your head, and you aren't sure which one to listen to. How are you supposed to balance it all? Getting good grades, exercising, eating right, and all the things you actually want. Because no one gets it. So, yeah, maybe this isn't really an universal struggle, just my. Now, I kn...

Saturday, June 25, 2016. Colorado Diaries / Episode One. As I write this, I am on a bus heading to camp in Colorado. Once camp begins on Sunday evening(ish), I won't have my phone or any other electronic, so I wanted to do a quick post for y'all before I go. What you're about to read are actual thoughts from my brain that I recorded in my journal. My deepest apologies if they are completely incoherent ramblings. 25 June 2016 Frontier Trip: Day 2. I'll be back July 4th! Don't miss me too much. As of one w...
