Replacing a sprag clutch on a Yamaha TTR250. It's a pretty simple operation. Just follow this step by step pictorial guide. Socket set, Allen socket, big plain screwdriver and torque wrench. It would be preferable to have a flywheel puller. And holder but if that isn't available the rear axle can be used instead. Sprag clutch Part # 4GY-15590-00-00. Fitting a replacement oil plug in the cylinder head. It is surprising how often these little blighters leak and start to make a mess of your engine. Their function is to blank off the hole that would otherwise be occupied by a de-compressor mechanism. There is quite a lot of work involved and it is essential that you have the workshop manual to hand for full details of the procedures, torque settings, etc. However, the manual expects you to be removing and replacing the cylinder head as part of a full strip down and that is not always going to be the case.
