Η προθέρμανση λοιπόν είναι το σύνολο των ασκήσεων, που έχουν χρονικό περιθώριο 10 με 15 λεπτά και είναι υπεύθυνες για να προετοιμαστούμε τόσο ψυχικά όσο και σωματικά. Επίσης βοηθούν σε μεγάλο βαθμό την πρόληψη τραυματισμών. Με την προθέρμανση έχουμε σημάδια όπως αύξηση του καρδιακού ρυθμού και εντέλει βοηθάει το σώμα να δεχτεί μεγάλες επιβαρύνσεις.
