Friday, July 08, 2011. The yearly Nicaraguan tourism board meeting was held on Ometepe (. End of June) and we are happy to announce that the construction of the airport (ETA Q1. 2012) has been confirmed by all government authorities. They also confirmed that the road c. Nstruction will first go to our Balgue community (ETA 2-3 months). This means that as soon as the road is there their would be only 800m of bumpy roads to reach us comp. Red to 10km just 5 months ago. Bear in mind it is election year!

Wednesday, November 17, 2010. Painting, paving, plumbing and planting. As I am writing this we have started to slowly drain the swimming pool while taking advantage of the water for doing some heavy irrigation around the lodge. Early next week will see us cleaning the now cured cement after which we can apply three coats of special pool paint. Then it will need 7 days to dry before we can refill again.
