Project #1, Square #27: Block and Offset Shell Stitch | Toying With Thread

https://toyingwiththread.wordpress.com/2015/01/09/project-1-square-27-block-and-offset-shell-stitch

Project #1, Square #27: Block and Offset Shell Stitch. I think the author of 63 Easy to Crochet Pattern Stitches. Knew that I was getting frustrated. With some of the earlier designs in the book, and decided to give me a break by tossing some easier patterns. Into the mix. Once my confidence was re-built, she then decided to slowly increase the challenge level – and this design is on that path of increasing difficulty. This offset shell stitch pattern is still comprised of the repetition of a single row.

Project #1, Square #22: Cross Stitch | Toying With Thread

https://toyingwiththread.wordpress.com/2014/11/22/project-1-square-22-cross-stitch

Project #1, Square #22: Cross Stitch. After working several patterns where every row required a different combination of multi-step maneuvers, it was nice to return to a more ‘basic’ pattern which called for the repetition of a single row to build out the body of the stitch. This cross stitch pattern would be great for a beginner because it:. Only requires two easy-to-make stitches (the single crochet and the double crochet);. Only requires mastery of one easy-to-memorize row pattern;. Other Blogs From Me.

Project #1, Square #28: Boxed Shell Stitch | Toying With Thread

https://toyingwiththread.wordpress.com/2015/01/23/project-1-square-28-boxed-shell-stitch

Project #1, Square #28: Boxed Shell Stitch. This pattern had a “self-check” feature embedded within it (i.e., if I made a mistake in counting or creating stitches, that error would be evident before I finished the end of the next row). I imagine many patterns contain this ‘feature’, but this was the first time I actually used this benefit – and I was very appreciative of it. Moving on to Square #29: Alternate Spike Single Crochet (SC). Project #1, Square #27: Block and Offset Shell Stitch.

Where yummy food meets benevolent humans. I was born, raised, and continue to live in the midwestern United States. I adopted a vegetarian diet in my mid-30s. (Why? Long story short: I finally found a spiritual path that felt like home [Buddhism] – and one of the primary ethical guidelines of this path involves non-harming other living beings. So, no killing animals = vegetarian.). I converted to full-on veganism in 2013. (Why? I started this blog because I wanted a place to document vegan recipes that a...

8230; and happy thoughts. I am one of the last people to be able to claim to have a photographic memory, in fact, most people who know me know I don’t have much of a memory at all. The plan is to recall the few memories I do have, and record a few new ones, to share them with you, and to remind me … to find some happy thoughts along the way and to raise a few smiles. 8212;———————. 38 thoughts on “ Behind the camera.
