http://montereypinesmaintenance.blogspot.com/2014/03/andaway-they-go.html
Monterey Pines Golf Club. Thursday, March 20, 2014. After some hard work by my staff and an outrageous amount of paperwork, we were finally able to get rid of a bunch of old equipment that had been kicking around for years. Most of the equipment was more than 20 years old. Some of the old equipment included old golf carts, greens mowers, a fairway mower, an aerifier and a 3-wheeled E-Z-GO utility vehicle to name a few. The Rim Golf Club: July 2010
http://therimgolfclub.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 23, 2010. Posted by Justin Ruiz, CGCS, MG. The Stimp meter was originally designed to give the superintendent a way to measure consistency among all eighteen greens. It wasn’t until recently in golf’s history that the tool was used for speed. So, next time you hear the number that so many people use to describe greens, you will know that the Stimp meter was originally intended to achieve consistency over all the greens on the course, not necessarily speed. Once the old cart path was out of our way, forms were installed and new gravel was added, then compacted. Long pieces of re-bar steel were laid in a grid pattern on top of the gravel to give the new concrete additional strength and guard. New gravel base being compacted. Brushing the concrete provides traction.
