Big Spring: Gratitude that Spring Has Kind of Sprung
http://big-spring.blogspot.com/2008/04/gratitude-that-spring-has-kind-of.html
Sunday, April 13, 2008. Gratitude that Spring Has Kind of Sprung. The cherry blossoms around the Tidal Basin this year were spectacular. For the ten or twelve days they last there were literally only a few hours of sunshine- and we actually drove by one day when the sun was shining on them! It makes me so excited to see these flowers grow! April 14, 2008 at 12:25 PM. I love Spring too. Such a time of hope and rebirth. April 16, 2008 at 4:37 PM. April 16, 2008 at 7:23 PM. Big Spring: May 2008
http://big-spring.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 8, 2008. A Quiet Moment with Grandma. I love that scene and that story and I'm so deeply grateful that on that walk, that night, in the last week of December of 1944, this precious young couple decided how they were going to raise me and my brothers. It fills me with joy. Monday, May 5, 2008. Below are some fun pictures from the weekend (I'm still learning how to do this, so forgive any formatting problems). The question on this picture is: Where is Mariah? Two more of my girls- yes, Lucy i...

Big Spring: Friday Lunch Out
http://big-spring.blogspot.com/2008/04/friday-lunch-out.html
Monday, April 28, 2008. The people here are so friendly you really feel good that you know them and have seen them for years. They are really Greek (no other nationality works here but Greeks) and have all that Eastern Mediterranean charm. And the food- the food- it is off-the-charts, beyond wonderful. Let me walk you through a typical visit to Haveabite- this is fresh reporting as we just went there on Friday (April 25). April 28, 2008 at 5:44 AM. April 28, 2008 at 4:08 PM. Monday, May 5, 2008. All I can say in conclusion is this: Watch out for the men, because I'm cookin up a competing tradition (I should say a complimentary tradition) of an amazing gathering somewhere that will be top-of-the-line fun- so, Scott, Eliot, Dave, Lucas, Jeremy, Andy, Thomas and Truman- stay tuned! Below are some fun pictures from the weekend (I'm still learning how to do this, so forgive any formatting problems). The question on this picture is: Where is Mariah? Big Spring: Coming to Know That I Knew
http://big-spring.blogspot.com/2008/04/coming-to-know-that-i-knew.html
Friday, April 11, 2008. Coming to Know That I Knew. My mother, who was (and still is) an amazing public speaker, told me that I had to memorize my part. I told her I couldn't. She said that I would and told me that if I had the piece of paper with me and tried to read it, she would come and take it from me while I was speaking. Oh, the embarrassment and multiplied fear that would cause me! Then Scot, what are you going to do with your life? Did I bear my testimony that day? April 11, 2008 at 12:05 PM.

Big Spring: Being a Blessing to Others
http://big-spring.blogspot.com/2008/04/being-blessing-to-others.html
Friday, April 18, 2008. Being a Blessing to Others. I have always been moved by one particular line from my blessing that refers to you children. It starts by talking about my marriage then it goes on to my family: "If you remain faithful and seek after the things that are spiritual and if you keep about you those companions that believe as you believe you will find a choice daughter of our Father in Heaven to be your companion for eternity (yep. I've thought about that a lot for the past 35 years.
