2011 Book Week Domino Toppling. During term 2, stage 3 students created an online brochure using the web 2 tool 'smore'. Their task was to 'sell' a particular form of energy to a new housing development using their advertising brochure. Not only did the students need to explain their chosen form of energy, they needed to use persuasive text in order to convince people to 'buy' their energy. Some examples are below. 2011 Book Week Domino Toppling. In Term 1, 5/6M participated in a COS (Community of Schools) project called 'Guided Inquiry'. This type of research is one where the students selected their own topic to research within the COGs unit 'Symbol Systems'. Students devised a focus question to investigate and developed up to 6 contributing questions, which in turn, assisted them to answer their focus question.
