The Oil Painting Blog of Tracey Clarke. Wednesday, March 07, 2012. Well, hasn't it been sometime since I have posted on the art blog. I am moving down the road in brain cancer treatment. Obviously this takes up most of my focus currently. I am seven months out from my initial craniotomy and have my first MRI tomorrow after Gamma Knife in January. If you want to catch up on this you can go to the Caring Bridge Journal. I currently have two paintings at the Workhouse in Lorton in the "Women Made" exhibit.

Once it arrived and I started using it, I found many applications where it saved me a tremendous amount of time and effort over sawing by hand. If you visit Micro Mark’s product page. My journey in the world of metalsmithing. August 7, 2015 in Chasing and Repousse. Tags: Chasing and Repousse. Il Maestro Fabrizio Acquafresca. I am part of a Chasing and Repousse group on Facebook. When I first joined, I did not know this technique, but I had a desire to learn. Last year, that desire was fulfilled when I took a workshop with Il Maestro Fabrizio Acquafresca. One of the things Fabrizio told me was to “keep hammering” and I am. What does this have to do with The Texture Challenge? I thought...

Are You Living Your Dreams? | Mystical Mythical Metalwork

https://mysticalmythicalmetalwork.wordpress.com/2015/08/05/are-you-living-your-dreams

My journey in the world of metalsmithing. Are You Living Your Dreams? August 5, 2015 in Dreams. Am I living my dreams? I saw this question on Facebook the other day with a photo of a powerful, majestic black horse. The point was one day we will no longer be on this plant and our fears will not have mattered….all that would have mattered was how we lived. As I thought about this, many things came to mind. In reality, yes I truly am fortunate to be living my dreams. Yet as many artists know, living that dr...

Exploding Doughnut: Yellow Quarter!

http://www.explodingdoughnut.com/2015/06/yellow-quarter.html

Escaping dead-end jobs.creating a life in art - by Dean Grey. Sunday, June 28, 2015. Among the everyday pennies and nickels and dimes. A quarter with the heads-side painted yellow! I discovered it at work while finalizing this morning's bank deposit for the crafts store. I felt compelled to take it and swapped one of my own quarters for the sun-colored one. The way the letters and profile are (for the most part) visible with only the background painted. It almost looks like it was created that way. Im so...

Exploding Doughnut: Vacuuming on Valentine's Day.

http://www.explodingdoughnut.com/2015/02/vacuuming-on-valentines-day.html

Escaping dead-end jobs.creating a life in art - by Dean Grey. Saturday, February 14, 2015. Vacuuming on Valentine's Day. I asked several of my coworkers what their plans were for Valentine's Day. All of them said spending the day with their boyfriend/girlfriend. When they asked me in return, I replied, "Vacuuming at home.". Sadly, that's the truth. Even though Valentine's Day can be hard for those of us who are single, I'm still very happy for the people who do. Have someone to love and be in love with.

The Helium Burden: August 2011

http://theheliumburden.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

The blog of the late Tracey Clarke. Wednesday, August 31, 2011. I don't know how I feel today, other than I have a bad headache and my eyes hurt. Those who know. Me, know me to be very independent. My life in many ways has become a strict regime of timed medications and insomnia interrupted. Cat naps. It has become a daily schedule of radiation, chemotherapy and a complete reliance on others to drive me anywhere. Most of the things I could do before GBM. In His mercy and goodness. To all who call upon You.

So, what is next? We are going to Duke next week right after Christmas. Please pray that the Lord would provide wisdom and guidance to our doctors in Durham. The Helium Burden: New Normal.

http://theheliumburden.blogspot.com/2012/04/new-normal.html

The blog of the late Tracey Clarke. Tuesday, April 17, 2012. I am seeking to conquer my anxiety around IV Avastin with gratitude. And a sense of humor. I have a strict rule forbidding my mind to swim around in it's murky and treacherous side effect waters. Though each time I wonder if we'll get a good vein, I accept it. My veins are deteriorating but I still am not ready for a port. We have twenty four treatments total at least. I am on nine this Friday, so the port option is in arms reach if so needed.
