August 30, 2016. The most shocking part of returning to America is my own confusion. What year is it around here? I left in June 2014 and experienced an entire lifetime in the islands. I tracked the time and the days; I was aware of the 2 years as they flew by. Now that I'm home again, so much is familiar.& there are moments when I forget that 2 years passed here too.
