Monday, February 16, 2015. Happy Birthday to Maddox. After the house clean-up and catering challenge of hosting Trey's 40th, it seemed best to outsource Maddox's party. Enter the Smugglers' Notch FunZone. And my traditional dissatisfaction with anything less than perfection on the decorating. I was most annoyed that I finally got the hang of getting the Spidey-eyes to look right after 80% of them were done. Oh well, no complaints from the peanut gallery on that. Friday, April 20, 2012. Easter redux- more than i can handle. Blogger's redesigned its format. Also, things got pretty dicey last week when Maddox went on some bizarre sleeping strike (mean go to sleep time= 10:29, mean wake up time = 4:47). Throw in some 2 am wake-ups and variable napping and it was pretty craptastic for a while. Plus we are heading to DC tomorrow for a long overdue visit to the mighty Ganno! Friday, April 13, 2012. Friday, May 18, 2012. The transmission is hydrostatic so you push a pedal with your toe to go forward and one with your heel to go backwards. (There is a linkage so that you can't engage it in both directions at the same time and potentially unhinge the hydraulic universe.). Anyway, as we are mowing, I put my heel down expecting to go backwards, but I go nowhere. Me: What the heck is the problem? Ellis [inaudible over the motor]: Mumble, mumble, mumble.
