Im happy to say that after two surgeries, Im on the mend, and hope to be more active with blogging again. Today is Veterans Day in the United States. As the granddaughter of a Navy pilot, the daughter of an Air Force veteran, and the wife of an Air Force veteran, I hold a special place in my heart for those who serve.

Wednesday, October 31, 2012. My children carved these pumpkins Monday night. We had to save the crow on the right with some crafty use of toothpicks, but otherwise this project a success. T-shirt to work tomorrow. Halloween is probably the only time I'll be able to get away with wearing a shirt that says 'Salt and Burn' at work. Thursday, November 22, 2012. I saw an article on Business Insider yesterday that said the key to making money off of an invention/app is to invent a product that can fit in people's daily routine. Of course I am thankful for my family, friends, and health, but on this Thanksgiving day, I am also thankful for those inventions that make my life easier:. 1) My SUV (I spend a lot of time in it commuting to and from work and kid activities). 2) My iPhone (the key to my organization and connectivity these days).
