Today it was absolutely pissing down with rain so plans of cleaning the prop and diff, painting them and throwing them on were shelved. We pushed the car into the garage and set about sorting out the busted weld nuts. 1) hack-saw off the bolts. 2) Put screwdriver through centre of hole. 4) Open up hole in floor pans inside the car using a 20mm hole cutter. Found a bubble in the paint on the nearside rear (hidden by the bumper though). Ground it back and realised it went through both outer and inner into the boot. Shit. Ended up, inspired by the way my mate Taps does his repairs, cutting the cancer out and we welded in new metal. Made a nice 2 piece patch. Which fits like so. With that done...

Last time I blogged I'd put the front outriggers of the cage in place and sussed that without a healthy dose of unleaded, the car won't run! Since then, have made lots more progress. 1 Tidied up the wiring loom quite substantially and found a permanent home for the ECU. LOL I got caught working on camera. There's a first! That all fitted nicely and the bottom half of the dash went in. 1) 12v illumination feed.
