Monday, March 21, 2011. We are under contract! Well, we weren’t planning on looking for a house until a good 6-9 months after the wedding (and for that matter, we weren’t actively “looking”) but we came across a house we loved in a neighborhood we loved and decided maybe it was the right time. Friday, March 30, 2012. And surprisingly, I think she only received one duplicate book. We had various different breakfast foods, including donuts, green eggs and ham, fruit salsa, kolaches, and a yogart bar. My friend, Ashley, who makes AMAZING cakes, made the beautiful cake that went along perfectly with the décor…not to mention it was delicious. We can’t wait to meet sweet Maya! Thursday, September 30, 2010. LA – Erin’s Bachelorette Weekend. About a month ago a bunch of us went to LA to celebrate Erin’s Bachelorette Weekend. What a fabulous weekend that included shopping, great restaurants, cocktails, an unbelievably fun pool day, hair blow outs, and of course a little partying. . Lunch at The Ivy. Shopping in West Hollywood. CoCo – our awesome pool boy/waiter. Ashley entertained the crowd with cheer stunts. Dry Bar. No cuts. No color. Just blowouts. And our last night.

Friday, December 23, 2011. Although we are going back to DC for Christmas, this was still our first Christmas Season in our new house and I had to go all out decorating! We have 3 trees (yes, 3! And put wreaths on all of our windows and Alan did an amazing job on our Christmas lights (although he needs to step it up a notch next year so we have a chance at winning the neighborhood light contest! Thursday, June 30, 2011. We barbequed so they gave out jars of bbq sauce with our names on them as favors. We played a fun game where the guests asked us questions about each other and we had to try to get the correct answers…and we actually did pretty well! Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Just a Day at the Beach. Alan had a friend that he played baseball with in college visiting this past weekend. Unfortunately, Houston got some much needed rain Friday and Saturday, so we were somewhat limited as to what we could do. But Sunday turned out to be gorgeous, so we decided to drive down to Galveston and go to the beach! Here are some of my favorites! This one wins most Patriotic in my book! And they were throwing tennis balls at the crowd! This was pretty cool!

Monday, July 26, 2010. 4th of July is one of my absolutely favorite holidays. I love fireworks, parades, flags, patriotism.maybe it’s because I grew up a military brat. This 4th of July was extra special because we got to spend it with some of our favorite friends! 160; Nick and Tracy came to Houston to spend 4th of July with us!
