Our life, our stories. Wednesday, July 23, 2014. Black Red Blue or dark plum door. So the next question is the front door color. We pretty much thought we were going with a pop of color on the door and would choose red. But now I'm thinking maybe black. This is a VERY VERY lame attempt to see the house with each color. Our life, our stories. Tuesday, May 28, 2013. One year later, before and after. I've been wanting to put together a little before and after of what we've done at the house so far. We've had the house for one full year now and have made quite a bit of progress so far, although its mostly been elbow grease, paint and furniture. No major remodeling of anything. Our life, our stories. Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Dusting things off, and opening the windows. Its been awhile.a long while. Actually, its been just shy of a year since my last blog post. I've often thought about the blog, but I've gone months and months without it even crossing my mind. A few times I've thought of closing it down. Our life, our stories. Friday, June 21, 2013. We just returned from the first full week in Bend this year. And did it ever feel good. Not sure when we'll get the chance to go back for a full week, but it probably won't be until late summer, or early fall. We've developed quite a list of "favorite places". So many, that we often can't get to them all, even when we're there for a full week. And, they make the most amazing pumpkin pancakes I've ever eaten. And they have fresh squeezed orange juice.mmmm.

Our life, our stories. Monday, January 16, 2012. Its been a long time in waiting, but a home in the neighborhood that we love finally came up for sale. There was one a few blocks away from this one that we missed last August so we've been waiting and looking ever since. That other house sold in two days so we knew that if one came up we needed to jump on it right away. The day this one came available we contacted our realtor and she went to look at it right away. Our life, our stories. Saturday, March 19, 2011. My first "cake" walk. This morning I drove south to meet up with my teammates for my first team training walk. There were 8 or so Hello Cupcake team members and a few ladies from another team walking with us. This will be the first of many many miles we will walk together this year. Monday, March 14, 2011. Its a catchy name. She shared a challenge to get moving and be active. She calls it 5k Fridays. Friday, March 11, 2011. Been gone but now Im back again.

Our life, our stories. Saturday, October 23, 2010. Boiled potato, steamed carrots and chicken breast. Lately she's been suffering from a food allergy from something in her dog food. We're not sure what it is, but something is causing her to itch. So, we're going back to the basics. Chicken, potato, carrot and green beans. Nothing else. If she's okay with this, then we'll know what she's NOT allergic to and we can start adding. I just hope she will eat dog food again after this. Tuesday, October 12, 2010.

Our life, our stories. Wednesday, May 09, 2012. Update on painting projects-. We decided to start painting in the kitchen first so we could get it painted before we bought the refrigerator. No need to move that at least until we tackle the cabinet painting. And here's our "after" with the wall painting done. That big open closet to the right is actually the laundry area. Eventually we will move the laundry into the garage and make this into a pantry. I want to put two shelves between those cabinets over ...
