The Occasional Truth: June 2008
http://occasionaltruth.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 25, 2008. It doubly sucks that the journalists openly wonder if Kobe is going to hit back then fill in their own answer that he can't or won't unless he gets a title without Shaq. All of these fellas remind me of the most obnoxious college dorm guys who followed sports and went with the majority rule, no matter what. You know, the Yankee/Duke/Cowboys/Bulls fan? These guys want Shaq to be the same thing he was six years ago and are sinking with the ship. In my humble opinion, Shaq:. I reme...

The Occasional Truth: Entertainments Of The Week (February 27)
http://occasionaltruth.blogspot.com/2011/02/entertainments-of-week-february-27.html
Saturday, February 26, 2011. Entertainments Of The Week (February 27). No damn car accident was going to keep me from my media. Damn it. It was an entertaining week even WITHOUT watching Thursday's NBC sitcoms. The eponymous ISIS agent. Still the best thing going on late night TV, Jimmy Fallon is the true torch-holder of his predecessors. From comedy (the return of "Real Housewives Of Late Night". To music ( Bell, Biv, Devoe. In the same week! This show delivers. At least in my household. Subscribe to: P...

The Occasional Truth: September 2008
http://occasionaltruth.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 3, 2008. Bad Galoot: What's worse than standing in the express lane because someone decided to play all there lottery tickets during the busiest time of the day? Worse Galoot: Standing in the express lane behind the lottery ticket buying person while she talks about how this happens every time she thinks the store isn't busy. Worst Galoot: When you buy lottery tickets in an express lane, it ceases to be an express lane. Monday, September 1, 2008. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Occasional Truth: Radio! Radio!
http://occasionaltruth.blogspot.com/2009/09/radio-radio.html
Thursday, September 10, 2009. After a few years of toying around with the idea, The Unexpected Guests have produced a pilot for a sketch-comedy radio program for WRFA-LP. It was a long process (especially for Gary. Who produced and engineered 99.9% of it)! But it has finally come to fruition. I had a load of fun writing for the program (listen for two commercials for local pubs and audio from a Rotary meeting) and even did a bit of voice work for it (you can pick me out for your own damned self.

The Occasional Truth: August 2008
http://occasionaltruth.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 27, 2008. At home, we've been catching up with older movies through Netflix. The service is a pretty good value and we just bumped up our subscription to have two movies at a time each month as much as we can get them. So far I've seen "The Bourne Supremacy" and have started season two of Showtime's "Dexter". I highly recommend both. A If you don't know who Amy Winehouse is, the cro-magnon guy, upon seeing her says, "Amy Winehouse! Friday, August 15, 2008. Some Poetry For Friday. MTV ne...

The Occasional Truth: Entertainments Of The Week: March 6
http://occasionaltruth.blogspot.com/2011/03/entertainments-of-week-march-6.html
Sunday, March 6, 2011. Entertainments Of The Week: March 6. A busy week led to less TV-viewing. Which is fine. Again, I've been playing catch-up on the DVR. Most of the week's tv-viewing is relegated to the sitcoms here. We caught up with the last new episodes over the weekend, which all delivered. Nightclub. Andy and April's romance has a comforting effect on me, harkening back to the old Jim/Pam flirtations on "The Office". March 6, 2011 at 5:17 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). An attempt at documenting at least part of each day with a photo containing anything but people. The rules I've given myself are simple:. 1 Take a picture to represent at least part of that day. and try to take the picture that day- with the understanding that sometimes midnight can come and go without a person noticing it if he's up late. 2 No people allowed (although pictures of people.
