Adventures in New York City's Interior Design World. Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Another day in the life of an up and coming NYC designer. I went to the D/D building (the place all designers want to be) for a class this morning. In the elevator up a nice man noticed that I was carrying fabric and struck up an elevator conversation. He invited me to his showroom after my class. I was shocked and impressed that people would pay $500,000 for a piano, or $75,000 for a table or even $4,000 for a side chair!

As I sit in front of my computer, searching for clients and jobs being offered in design, as i work on my social networking (which is very important), advertisement(another biggie), or as i look into other things that will undoubtedly help me along, I can't help but wish and dream that someone will miraculously find me and ask me to redesign thier turn of the century, single family townhouse.

Wednesday, December 31, 2014. As always, time gets away from me and here we are at the end of the year. We have had a great few past weeks and though this will be short, I thought I would post some pictures. Natalie and Kendall turned two this month and we threw a joint Minnie Mouse themed party. Sunday, September 28, 2014. Last weekend Rick, Natalie and I went on our first vacation as a family of three! There were two beds in the loft. It had a small but full kitchen. Saturday, January 24, 2015. We are taking swimming lessons which she loves, and girlfriend talks so much. Our lives are narrated for us. She also has a crazy memory and can remember who gave her which shirt for Christmas, the actions behind Disney songs when she hasn't seen the movie in months, and if I mentioned something would happen at a certain time, she will hold me to it. Monday, June 23, 2014. Summer is here and we are having a lot of fun with the great weather! The first weekend of June was a much-needed relaxing weekend. We took the opportunity to celebrate Father's Day a week early and Natalie and I took Daddy out to eat at Cheesecake Factory.
