http://humblingmoments.blogspot.com/2005_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 30, 2005. Descent into Hell-otherwise known as cleaning the storage rooms. Not really sure how to start this one. Hat do you mean? That's not what they mean when they say that? Okay so maybe we don't recycle it, we just horde it in the back rooms of our basement waiting for a time when loving item can be brought out and recycled! So the week started out like this. So spring pickup is next week in our area. I know that DH is gonna help. Okay, we'll help not a problem! DD#1 to Mom: I don't know?

Friday, February 25, 2005. Could it really be? I know it sounds extremely selfish to start my blog all about me, but it's all about me and so there you have it! Here it is Friday afternoon and this is the first time I've blogged all week. Not a good start to the new me! Actually we've had a great start to the new me! 25 days smoke free and 7 days into eating right for a new me! Are you following the common thread here? It's all about me! At least 23 years! I'm going to work on a meal plan before I go sho...

Friday, October 28, 2005. The Sweet Joys of Family. Well Folks, this has been a very bumpy last couple of weeks for me and for my girls! We are all struggling with our own demons. I'm struggling with November planning, Aimee's struggling with getting in line for the General Record Exam she writes on Saturday(tomorrow) (which she will ace, I'm sure! Brianne, well for her, her biggest dilemma is how can she convince her Mom to give her more than $10 a weekend! Her time will come! So what new movies are out?

Humbling Moments: July 2005

Friday, July 29, 2005. To shake or not to shake. To this day Hospitals and Dr.'s offices still ask you to use antibacterial lotion on your hands when you arrive to help avoid the spread of germs as many illnesses and other "niceties" can be spread by the mere shake of a hand and this leads me to my dilemma. He was back at the table in no time. The very first thought in my head was.yup you guessed it.Did he even wash his hands? Him: "Hi, I'm Frank" (holding out hand to shake). Really stupid look on face).

Humbling Moments: September 2005
http://humblingmoments.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 29, 2005. And now we return to your regularly scheduled programming. At the end of August there are two things that are added to the usual "back-to-school need to buy" list. They are "TV Guide, New Shows for Fall Edition" and lots and lots of VHS Tapes. This is a time of research and trial and error. We try new shows and see if they fit two criteria: 1) we absolutely love them and 2) they don't conflict with any other continuing shows in our already busy TV schedule. Law and Order SVU.

Humbling Moments: December 2005
http://humblingmoments.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 29, 2005. Much sadness for the end of the year in Toronto. At least once a month my 15 year old requests that she be allowed to travel into the city of Toronto, a mere 30 minute train ride away. To go with friends to an all ages club, to go shopping with friends at the Eaton Centre or in the summer to walk Yonge Street with her friends. "But Mom, it's only a train ride away and we'll be together! What could possibly happen? This could have been your child. It was someone's child an...

Humbling Moments: November 2005

Wednesday, November 30, 2005. Paint Store Wars and other tales of the basement. Who would have thought that home decor would be such an issue? This year after seven complete years it is time for a change. The colours that were chosen for the main floor went without comment. Apparently they must have been okay. Everyone seemed to like them and until last night no one complained. Gray is not a colour! I was flabbergasted.speechless (shut up! I know what you are thinking and it does happen! As we are standi...

Humbling Moments: March 2005
http://humblingmoments.blogspot.com/2005_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 31, 2005. How do we get ourselves into these messes? Well, I wrote the damn exam and with pretty good certainty, I can honestly say I failed. How did I get myself into this mess? Now, not only do I doubt my own intelligence, I have to write the damn thing again on my own pennies ($100). This means I need to study some more and go through the stress of this whole thing again? To prove to myself that I can do it. Seriously people, nobody else really gives a damn! That's purely a matter of pr...

Humbling Moments: June 2005
http://humblingmoments.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 23, 2005. On the way to Ohio.dear, deer me! Many moons ago, before we were married, DH and I decided that we would take an unplanned road trip. A spur of the moment adventure for two new lovebirds. OH, where to go? For any of you that know me, I am the least adventurous person in the world. I love the idea of adventure but to actually risk going out into the world, hmmm.not so much. DH on the other hand, LOVES adventure and had been tossing this idea about for many weeks. Well I think I sh...
