Tranquil Stitches

Thursday, July 14, 2011. I love this little lady. She's another of the LHN 2010 Ornaments. Along with the burgundy beads around the wreath, I also added some pretty yellow ones along the vine on the left. She was a quick stitch that I enjoyed very much. Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Let's Do The Peppermint Twist! This is another of the LHN 2010 Ornament charts called "Peppermint Twist." It's so cute! I've got a couple more finishes to post as well in the next few days. Needle is smokin'! Friday, July 08, 2011.

Tranquil Stitches: March 2009

http://tranquilstitches.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

Saturday, March 21, 2009. Ever get in a stitching funk and just don't pick up your needle for a week or so? But I am stitching this weekend if it kills me! LOL Gotta do a biscornu for an Exchange, so that's great motivation to get back in the swing. In the meantime, I don't think I shared my "Peace" ornament that I stitched the end of last year. It's the Rosewood Manor design from the 2008 JCS Ornament Issue. I love the original colors they used, but I wanted to make mine traditional red and green. Today...

Tranquil Stitches: Christmas in July

http://tranquilstitches.blogspot.com/2011/07/christmas-in-july.html

Friday, July 08, 2011. I wanted to do an ornament to celebrate Christmas in July, so I chose this one by La D Da in the 2010 JCS Christmas Ornament issue entitled " 'Tis Red." I used VC silk in Baneberry Bright and I absolutely LOVE the colors! I've finished another of the 2010 LHN Ornaments and I'm waiting on the button I ordered before I post the pic. I've been stitching up a storm lately, and loving every minute! Have a great day! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Give me a needle. On a cloudy day,.

Tranquil Stitches: Let's Do The Peppermint Twist!

http://tranquilstitches.blogspot.com/2011/07/lets-do-peppermint-twist.html

Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Let's Do The Peppermint Twist! This is another of the LHN 2010 Ornament charts called "Peppermint Twist." It's so cute! I got the button in the mail yesterday and was a little perplexed to see it didn't have any button holes. So, I had to attach it at the crook with thread. I just hope it holds up well. I've got a couple more finishes to post as well in the next few days. Needle is smokin'! BEAUTIFULLY stitched, this is one of my favorites :). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Tranquil Stitches: February 2011

http://tranquilstitches.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

Sunday, February 13, 2011. I received this pretty Valentine from an exchange on Tranquil Stitches and I just love it. Miss Katrina really jazzed up a plain card and made it something very special! 2011 Tranquil Stitches Valentine Exchange. Stitched by: Katrina H. I'll show what I stitched tomorrow after Miss Karen posts a picture. "Somebody" forgot to take a picture before she mailed it. *rolls eyes*. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Give me a needle. Tuesday, January 25, 2011. I realized I've never posted a picture of this once it was finished. LOVE it. I dressed it up a little with a photoshopped frame. Not sure how I'm gonna finish it, though. Monday, January 24, 2011. I finished this one earlier in the month. Love how it turned out! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Give me a needle. On a cloudy day,. And all of my cares. Just melt away.". Losing My Mind | A Stitchinaddiction

https://stitchinaddiction.wordpress.com/2008/09/08/losing-my-mind

September 8, 2008 at 7:03 pm Posted in Uncategorized. I thought of some more things that I wanted to blog about and instead of editing my last post, I just thought I’d write a new one. Has anyone ever been able to scoop up any Silkweaver’s Solos on the day they’re posted? I haven’t been able to score one yet, until last week. At 12:02 I was on the site, and selected a lovely piece of 28ct Cashel that I HAD TO HAVE. Wanted. 12:02 and the damn thing was gone! Is this not beautious? Silkweaver Solo - MINE.

Magnolia's Meadow: April 2010

http://magnoliasmeadow.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Carpet Vs. Hardwood. And the hardwood wins hands down! Landlady gave me permission to rip the carpet out of the living room, which is the only room that has it. A test strip shows very pretty hardwood underneath, so I'm excited! I'm just not a carpet person. Another record-breaking warm day for us today. It's beautiful outside. We're expecting storms tomorrow which I'm definitely looking forward to. Nothing like a nice spring thunderstorm! Have a great day, everyone!

Magnolia's Meadow: November 2010

http://magnoliasmeadow.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

Monday, November 8, 2010. Trying To Gear Up. Only 46 days until Christmas 2010. Un-be-liev-a-ble. This year has to be a part of some kind of rift in the space-time continuum. Where did the year go? Where has my life gone? Either way, it's coming whether I like it or not. How do I act as if I'm the jolliest of jolly for my daughter's sake? How do I make it happy for her when I'm absolutely miserable? I wish I could talk to Mom. :(. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). So glad you stopped by to visit!

Told ya I’d be back. July 8, 2007 at 5:41 pm Posted in spinning. Lots of things to show and talk about. WIPS – quite a few for me but I know not as many as some. Less projects means I get to spend more time with each, resulting in more FO’s. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it, lol. I got the kit from Lettuce Knit in case anyone wants to hook up with one, but I got the full skeins from Coldwater Cooperative online. Okay, lots more to show. And more socks completed just in time for the 4th of July:.

October 19, 2008 at 10:51 am Posted in Uncategorized. Anyway, stitchy news. I’m almost done with Something Wicked by La-D-Da! I haven’t decided yet how I’m going to finish this, but am leaning towards a pillow. Something totally unexpected happened when I ironed this in prep for it’s picture. It’s stitched on 29ct. Glenshee Linen in “Muffin”. Now I have never worked with this fabric before (it is lovely! Heck, no. It took on a distressed look that I am absolutely loving! What am I going to do next? Creat...

August 10, 2008 at 12:06 pm Posted in cross stitch. I finished Sacrifice by SJ Bolton and might start the Historian next. Wanted to keep that for next week for my post op reading, but the dang thing is 600 pages so I think I’ll have more than enough to keep me occupied through then. I finished block 4 on Sweet Treats and even pressed it for your viewing pleasure! Only seven more work days before my surgery! One Sick Fiber Puppy. March 25, 2007 at 11:19 am Posted in Uncategorized. One sick fibery puppy, that’s me! Off to ebay I went, and I just ordered one from CopperMoose. She should be here within the next 10 days all the way from New Zealand. Oh man, here’s hoping that I don’t want to take a weeks vacation to play on her when she gets here, lol. This is my Cherry Tree Hill sock (notice I said sock, not socks – gotta get kicking on the other one also). I love this colorway:. And lastly, I had to buy some P...

Tranquil streets of my mind. Diaries of a Language Teacher. Tuesday, December 22, 2009. May I make a wish? After a very very long time, I'm back again, I desperately needed to write, to express myself, and to get rid of the burning. Pain in form of words pouring out! It's a pity I put pen to paper when I'm close to tears, maybe that's what makes it different, or whatever. It's almost Christmas and I was wondering if non-Christians can make Christmas wishes! If so I'd make a lot of wishes! یکی از این الفا...
