Contiguous Continental....

Tuesday, September 29, 2009. Day 7 South Dakota. Went up Devil's Tower it is a neat place, they are still debating the geological origins of it. Drove through Deadwood it was neat and old and like the old west towns in TV shows and movies. The black hills weren't so much black as dark green. Got into Custer, found the amazing awesome campground. Went and checked out the presidents. And the Rocks! Saturday, September 26, 2009. Day 6 Rock Hounding. Then continued on to Devils Tower. Contiguous Continental....: December 2008

http://transcontinentaltia.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

Tuesday, December 2, 2008. Fog, Mist and Wet Coast. So up in the morning and to my wonder and surprise, another dog had peed on my tent. I took the time to clean it as best I could but it definately didn't get to dry as it is hard to try things that are covered in mist. Then up up and away to the top of Crater Lake. Contiguous Continental....: October 2008

http://transcontinentaltia.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 31, 2008. So I left Gainesville, which being a university town is smallish. But everyone wears school colours. Blue and Orange everywhere. Also it's interesting seeing everyone dress. When I was there it wasn't super cold but cold enough for them. So people were dressed in anything from shorts and a tshirt to full coats with fake fur linings and toques. Left Fort Walton (which by the way back into Central Time! Well I'm by myself I'm not drinking and I'm walking around a strange town by m...

Contiguous Continental....: November 2008

http://transcontinentaltia.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

Saturday, November 29, 2008. It's so weird to mostly be done. I could be home in mere hours if I wanted to be. That boggles my mind. So to the events. Bad news I think I set my tent up in dog poo tonight, I just noticed the poop on my shoe. This concerns me, it was dark outside, when I set up so not sure where it specifically was. So yes I'm pretty sre I will not know what to do with myself when I get back, I won't understand the not moving and the bed bit, but I figure I'll adjust eventually. So I'm hea...

http://transcontinentaltia.blogspot.com/2009/09/day-4-sept-23.html

Thursday, September 24, 2009. Day 4 Sept 23. So I drove from Butte to Yellowstone. Then continued on towards Yellowstone. Stopped and marvelled at Earthquake lake, so neat, also the drive towards it amazing river beside me with the sun reflecting off it, and greeness and the mountains. Then got into Yellowstone bought my pass (which expires in a few days and I haven't had a chance to re-use) :(. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Day 7 South Dakota. Friday, September 25, 2009. Woke up on the ground. It was a cold but awesome night. tried to use my Nutella but again kind of solid. The elk were wandering all around the campsite again it was pretty neat. Continued on down south to check out Old Faithful. Took a bit of a hike. And took a nap waiting for it to show. It was ok but I was exhausted and took a bunch of video and pics, because I did that I don't think any of them really worked out quite as I wanted. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

https://tinyteardrop.wordpress.com/page/2

Follow the KTeam around the US of A! Posted by: Kevin and Kate. January 3, 2009. Two of the best south coastal cities. We set up camp at the KOA in Wilmington, our first one of the trip and one of the nicest camps we have seen yet. Toured the town a little and got some sushi! The downtown was pretty quiet since it was New Years, everything was shut down… It was pretty chilly, so we headed back to camp to our warm little trailer. Rode into Charleston around 6 and set up camp. I had called a high schoo...
