Many of these are skills that were common until relatively recently but are being lost or undervalued such as food growing and preserving, making and repairing things, building with wood and other low carbon materials, while others are new skills we need to learn such as building and maintaining renewable energy systems.

A huge success, with over 700 people through the door, a ‘buzzy’ atmosphere, record takings in the Fairtrade Cafe- what more could we want? Will there be a next time? Well, maybe – and this time we think TC will have enough of its own projects to go it alone in the Assembly Room. October 4, 2011.
