Transition Lostwithiel are in the process of planting community trees around Lostwithiel to form a productive edible landscape and as a reminder of the apple growing heritage of the Fowey estuary. Large areas of Lostwithiel used to be covered in orchards and a boat trip up the Fowey river at apple blossom time was a popular tourist attraction. Read a history of apple growing in the area. Long Room, Community Centre, every Tuesday 10.00am to 12.30pm. The cost is £2.00 per session plus donations for refreshments. As a non-profit group we donate surplus funds to various charities.
