The Center of the Universe
The Center of the Universe. Wherever I go there I am. Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Before His Next Birthday. My baby boy turned two in April! We won't mention that it was more than a month ago. poor Second Baby! Johnny's "camera smile" - I also love this pic because it actually makes my skinny boy look chubby! I'm ridiculously proud of following through on the "race car cake" he had been asking for:. Having a two-year old in 2T clothing is novel! Monday, April 1, 2013. And It's a . He's measuring a week and ...

Transplanted Librarian
I should be reading. Note: I wrote this to try to work through a moment of anxiety to get to a more positive motivation for reading. Self-reassurement is a weird thing to write, but it helped somehow.). My father was always impressed by how fast I tore through books in the way back seat of the van (“you only started that Little House book when we left? Anymore. This task is gigantic; is my brain really good enough to capture all this? 8220;But really, you should be reading.”. I usually don’t get ve...

Just another WordPress.com site. If I Didn’t Have You. May 6, 2013 by hbogacz27. So, we’ve finally come to the end of our class, Gospel and Global Media. For our final project, we were asked to creatively connect theological reflection and social media. I have to admit…this was something new for me. I had never before created something using social media. Perhaps, I have found a new outlet for myself…both personally and professionally. Here is my final project:. If I Didn't Have You. I really struggle in...

Tales Of A Transplanted Mets Fan
Tales Of A Transplanted Mets Fan. Wednesday, April 15, 2015. I've Changed My Mind About The Jackie Robinson Rotunda. When CitiField opened, many fans griped that the stadium did not have enough "Mets" to it. For sure, Mets imagery and even blue and orange were scant. And a grand entrance dedicated to a man who had never even donned a Mets uniform led many fans to say that owner Fred Wilpon had built a shrine to the Brooklyn Dodgers, instead of the New York Mets. My son had heard of him. The weather was p...

The Transplanted Panda | A Chinese-Canadian teaching in Korea
A Chinese-Canadian teaching in Korea. A Glorious Return (for a day). Asymp; 1 Comment. Welcome to the main street. The signage on the bus terminal brags to the world: We’ve arrived. Gone were the imbalanced gravel that screamed “under construction”. In their place were new rubbery sidewalks that provided a spring in my step. The view from the entrance of Haeryong. Not a lot has changed, but if you look closely you’ll see a 7/11 now. Playing Scrabble with the students. I spent the morning in Hayley’...

The Transplanted Peach
Gettysburg, PA family getaway. We took advantage of the long weekend to head to Gettysburg for Labor Day. Cookie in a cannon. On the lookout…. Checking out Devil’s Den with Daddy. Hanging out with a Confederate soldier. On the way home we also stopped by the Antietam National Battlefield Park. We saw quite a lot for our 3 days-two national battlefields and Eisenhower’s home! We had a great time and plan to head back when little F is a bit older when we can go through the park at a more leisurely pace!

Transplanted Pilot
Thursday, June 4, 2015. The Plastic is IN! What more can I say? This has been a great experience. Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Now that I am the pilot (that phrase still sounds quite odd to me) I have been getting out here and there to celebrate my achievement. But also comes the reality of flying versus daily obligations. There is a battle between flying and daily chores and obligations. This includes the need to finish other goals including starting my insurance and retirement planning business. All I can sa...

Transplanted Prairie Girl
The continuing adventures of a Prairie Girl transplanted. Sunday, February 26, 2012. I was getting all excited about the coming spring. The grass was starting to appear, robins showing up, and the tree buds are starting to plump up. Robins: February 22nd, 2012. But then we get a rude wake up call. Winter isn't quite done with us yet.
