So I'm curious - who are you all, where do you live, and what does this community mean to you? What do you want to learn or read about? So, what are you guys all up to? Old Computer Stuff = someone's treasure? It's a bit hard to recycle most of this stuff, but I thought some of you crafty, nerdy, and/or awesome types might be able to use some of it?

The hilarious thing about the boots is that last year I through out a pair of this exact style of boot. That I had worn out. Sorry for the long hiatus lately. life is nuts sometimes, eh? As a little welcome back post, here is a project i made today from. First i took alll the spokes out of the wheel and gutted the parasol (and made a mess):. They fit together nicely, see? This was lashed all together with copius twine, i added a little hook on the inside, and hung it from my overhead light fixture, in place of the glass boringness that was there to begin with. And the girlf is much happier ;). I hope you all are well!

Walking back this afternoon from the mile end community mission where i am now volunteering, all these things found me. Men's grey wool pants (they have atrocious pleating, but i think with some adjusting they can be rescued). About 1m of 2inch wide pink silk. 12 or so leaves of construction paper. This little candle holder. i like the leafyness of it. Spool of fishing line. A few sprays of pink silk flowers. And a blue glass bottle. I like how there was an emergent pink motif.
