Pause to reflect; Calmly think on that. Monday, May 31, 2010. A Cry in the Night, ReRun, Ditto, Again.and Still. Someone asked me if my trip was uneventful. I flew out yesterday, arriving last evening. I am on a ministry trip. Are flights ever uneventful anymore? Are just worth rerunning! What can I say? I hope you enjoy this one (or re-enjoy it), and remember on this memorial day: Our God truly never slumbers, and no matter where you are, He is there when we cry out to Him.in the day or in the night!

Engaging...: Sitting in Starbucks...

8220;The two most engaging powers of an author are to make new things familiar, and familiar things new.” Samuel Johnson. Sunday, June 27, 2010. The hustle and bustle of Seoul city life stands in stark contrast to the lulled conversations of those sipping coffee next to me. I plan to enjoy the next few minutes by sipping my own over-priced specialty drink. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Pause to reflect; Calmly think on that. Wednesday, June 17, 2009. Awake Angry and Appalled! Awake, angry, appalled and arising is a perfect description of my feelings this morning. And those of you who know me, know that this description really does go against my personality. So let me explain myself. (This blog is a little long, but worth the read.). Allow me to quote part of the email I awoke to this morning:. Also, encourage men and women -as voting, tax paying citizens - (not in the name of Christ as...

Selah: July 2009
http://arisingtoexcellence.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Pause to reflect; Calmly think on that. Monday, July 20, 2009. Mine came by Facebook. After simmering (thoroughly cooking slowly) through several over 100 degree summer days, my husband installed a misting system on our patio. What a difference it has made. Texas summers birth lonely patios. And ours had been downright desolate. It's amazing how a small mist of water can cool, refresh, and bring life to lifeless Texas patios. Meet me on the patio.". My heart thrilled. What could be better? Stuff much....

Fire Up Club: Self Discipline

Changing Lifestyles.Living Healthy. View my complete profile. Friday, June 22, 2007. The second question I asked was “how do people get self-discipline? This means that if you’re not self-disciplined you can become self-disciplined. This gives me hope. The third question that I asked the ladies was “What are outside sources to help you develop self-discipline? 8221; Dr. Henry Cloud shared three sources. The second source is people. Are you trying to make your journey across the desert alone? The third so...

Selah: Amazing Women
http://arisingtoexcellence.blogspot.com/2010/03/amazing-women.html
Pause to reflect; Calmly think on that. Monday, March 15, 2010. Do you know any? I am sure you do. It just may take a moment or two to stop and think about who they were, or are, in your life. And what makes them so amazing? Is it the way they live? What they laugh at? Or perhaps just how they love? She has her daddy's personality, but I was so blessed when on the way home (he had been doing sound for us), he said, "You can sure tell that she's her mother's daughter! Pause to reflect; Calmly think on that. Thursday, April 30, 2009. How Thick is That Wall? We never thought to ask that question. And since experience is a good teacher, we really should have. At the very least, at my age, and. Being a woman of experience, I should have realized the flexibility in the meaning of the word 'beyond'. Early Thursday morning, Laura and I flew out of DFW, heading to our Arising to Excellence Women's Gathering in New York. DFW is a massive. But stepping through those glass doors,.

Pause to reflect; Calmly think on that. Saturday, January 16, 2010. This evening's quiet finds my entire being exhausted but inspired. I guess that is a 'good tired'. My 10 year old grandson had an outpatient surgery on his foot yesterday. Today, he had to stay off his foot, keep it elevated, but finish a few pages of homework and review for a math test. Mom had to work so the "Mi-Mi Force" was called in. It is not so much what is poured into the student. But what is planted that really counts.". I am no...

Pause to reflect; Calmly think on that. Thursday, November 18, 2010. The dancing light in his eyes and the smile on his face shouted of the revelation in his heart. It was a Kodak moment. Not an unusual moment for our Pastor, but it certainly had to be an "ah ha! From there, I am not aware of exactly what Pastor was speaking and what God was whispering to my heart. I think that he may have said something about it being amazing that we can hold miracles. But in my heart of hearts I heard, "Yes! Just think...
