Zum sekundären Inhalt wechseln. Vom Leben and Kochen ohne Kompass. Was das alles soll…. Pilgern 2.0 sozusagen? Ein unscheinbarer Begriff&#...

Geeky adventures in a sea of free time. CC Licensed photo from AlwaysHallways. 8216; Flickr stream). Two months ago I titled this blog based on my own unemployed status (as well as some imagined other associations of the word – media to disemploy you of your time – a bit of a stretch). And, y’know, unemployed.wordpress.com was taken. And never updated, as is most often the case. Is by a pair of Berkley, CA residents who manage to live very cheaply through various forms of scavenging, from coupon clipping...

Bush Biker’s Rewards – Caveman Cycling For Earth. Caveman Cycling For Earth. A low-tech ecological bike tour of the world, by Charles Brigham. Bush Biker’s Rewards. Made it to Parliament House (with random bike cop). And when Nic’s buddy Dan came over with another sixer, I had not just one but two interested bike dudes to show the wheel to. We geeked out about it in the garage as I explained how I had done it. Suddenly Dan said, I’ve got a wild idea! Alright, bring it on! He was the manager of a brew pub...

This Australian Earth – Caveman Cycling For Earth. Caveman Cycling For Earth. A low-tech ecological bike tour of the world, by Charles Brigham. Things were different after I left Pittwater. Normally I try not to give myself any itinerary nor schedule; something I taught myself not to do during my World attempt. I followed the definition of adventure like some sort of mantra: to not know what is going to happen, but continue forward anyway. Plans run contrary to this. For once I had a schedule to meet!

Now my fasting week is finished. I was quite busy the last days so I could not write every day. On the 3. day after my yoga class I felt a great warmth in my belly and I was totally satisfied. I even did not need to drink a juice, only fresh water. I felt big inner peace. But I had to spend all the evening at the university and that stressed me. Especially informatics made me feel tense. Now starting to eat again is difficult. People are offering too much food to me but I am ok. Digestion is fast. Althou...

http://horizonstruckwanderer.blogspot.com/2012/04/105-pounds-of-home.html
Attempting to live in lee of the wind. 105 Pounds of Home. Ok I'm all packed up and ready to load up my bike! I weighed all my gear and without food it comes to exactly 59.4 lbs. My bike weighs about 35 lbs, plus maybe 10 lbs. for food and water, for a total of about 105 lbs. I hope to keep my blog updated more often, so check in every once in a while if you'd like to know about my progress. I'm so excited I'm nauseous. I mean I'm totally about to spew. Call when you can! My Route so Far. James on a Bike.
