This journal is a place to record my travels and the adventures along the way. It may not get updated all that often since it depends on my a) finding an Internet Cafe or other connection, b) the connection speed and/or state of the equipment involved, and c) feeling like making use of it at the time. Time will tell.

Get out there (here) and enjoy! Rob around the World. This may well be the best time of the year to see Windhoek, although I suspect that it always looks pretty. Now though, everything is in bloom and what blooms they are! I have done more than that however. I've been to the Alte Feste fort, originally built by the Germans, but now housing a museum of Namibian History, including an excellent exhibition on Rock art, some of which is believed to date as far back as 27,000 years! 1st-Nov-2006 09:12 pm (UTC).

Get out there (here) and enjoy! Rob around the World. My plans with regards to reading materials seem to be working out well. Everywhere I've stayed to date has had a reasonable selection of books left/exchanged by other travellers and as a result I'm getting to read an odd, but fascinating mix. I'll take both books away with me, as I think they really need to stay together. Between them they are far lighter than The Historian anyway so I think it's a fair trade. Who knows what I'll find next.
