Going to HEL!: Her perspective
http://flyingtohel.blogspot.com/2011/07/her-perspective.html
Although many have suggested it over the years, in this context HEL is the city code for Helsinki, Finland. HEL is our 1st stop on a trip to Finland, Estonia, Norway and a side trip to Russia. In staying true to our vow to never return to the same place, we'll of course stop in Amsterdam for a couple of days on the way home. I am somewhat of a reluctant blogger this go around. Because of that, here's one big 'ole long post! Shortly after we made plans to leave, we heard through April that Ryan would be h...

Thursday, August 1, 2013. DK13 in a nut shell. DK'13 That's a Wrap! DK'13 has been our mantra for much of the past year. We crowned Frank our tour guide and he took it from there, doing a fantastic job. Earlier this year, we had a slide show with commentary and pictures presented to us. For my birthday, my presents included a Denmark market bag. Time grew closer.emails flew back and forth. Flights, hotels and cars were all discussed and decided upon. We arrived in Aalborg very tired and hungry.and sh...

Cookies 'n Cheese
http://cookiencheese.blogspot.com/2013/08/normal-0-false-false-false-en-us-ja-x.html
Tuesday, August 13, 2013. We’ve kept at least semi-busy in the ‘dam. A lot of the usual stops, Waterlooplein Market, alas with empty hats, Vondel Park, the IVM, Westerpark, etc. The US. British Food Market on Leidestraat carries Frank’s red Hot sauce. A worthy stop. We took the train to Utrecht, about 30 minutes away. We were having tapas along the canal, when we heard a boat coming with a violin playing. Reach for the camera and take a shot. RIP, whomever you are. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Cookies 'n Cheese: Her Perspective .... A Love Letter
http://cookiencheese.blogspot.com/2013/08/her-perspective-love-letter.html
Saturday, August 3, 2013. Her Perspective . A Love Letter. It has only been 4-1/2. Months since we last spent time together. And for us, it has been a very busy time. Spring planting, family visiting, birthday celebrations, even a big swimming hole put into the backyard. But while life was going on, you were always on our minds. This city that is so small and easy to navigate that we find ourselves just out wandering for hours. There is always a street show, a market, something to.
