Vang Vieng is a province with limestone / karst crystal caves, blue rock pools, green padi fields, and red clay roads. Watered by the Nam Song river, where happy "falangs" go tubing. This blog was born during a night at Oosters, where over Belgian beer and grub, we talked about our upcoming vacation to Port Dickson (Malaysia), while simultaneously planning future trips to Bhutan and North Thailand. Good beer does fuel ambitions. Folks have always wondered about the strange / not-so-strange places we go, the things we see, the things we do. Why do we go. Road to Perdition / sans contrition. Wanderlust, booze and friendship. Tuesday, May 20, 2008. Attractions - Luang Prabang. It's quite easy to move around Luang Prabang. So far LPB has not been overly manifested with pubs and bars catered for foreigners (like Vang Vieng). Hopefully it will still retain some of it's local culture in this city when I next visit this place again. Cycling is one of the easiest and cheapest way to get around (other than by foot of coz). Tat Kuang Si (Kuang Si Waterfall). Approx 20km from city. Our Lunch @ Kuang Si.

Wanderlust, booze and friendship. Monday, August 18, 2008. So, the blur squids and glaube will be heading to Bangkok and Rayong, a little island called Ko Samet, in 5 days, for a week. Looking forward to the break. I hope the storm doesn't hit then. We'll also be checking out some property in Bangkok. Some sun, sand and sea would be good. Clear the mind over work and all.
