Friday, September 30, 2011. Escuelas and Parque Tyrona. Saturday, September 24, 2011. Santa Marta, Colombia. I'm truly loving being fully immersed in Spanish and Latin culture again! I learned a lot about the history of the area and the different indigenous groups who live there. The ciudad itself was impressive with a panoramic view from the plaza central that humbled me. but it was really the whole experience of the 5 day hike and the people that made it all worthwhile.
