Wednesday, May 21, 2014. Setting The Bar In Barcelona - Spain. The first stop on our last Mediterranean cruise was beautiful Barcelona, Spain. We stepped off the boat to blue skies and crisp Spanish November weather. Fall really is the best time to visit Mediterranean cities. The crowds are gone. Monday, December 29, 2014. Slowing Down In Slovenia. After our wonderful week in Croatia, we decided to take a quick side trip, a vacation in a vacation if you will, to Lake Bled, Slovenia. Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Taking It Easy In Tangier - Morocco (Africa, Not Europe! Our next stop on our Costa cruise was Tangier, Morocco. Tangier is situated on the Strait of Gibraltar. When we strolled off the boat in Tangier, we were greeted with rain. And because it is the North African desert, it wasn't raining cats and dogs. It was raining camels and dingoes ( I know. That dingoes are in Australia, I just thought it sounded good). Because it was raining, we pretty much had the place to ourselves.
