I’m not arguing that society here now or in America several generations ago was somehow more morally pure, merely that the society at large had not yet normalized such crude behavior through desensitization.). On the road less-traveled. March 30, 2013. We knew the last day of Chinese New Year would be chock full of excitement. Fireworks, firecrackers, sparklers…everywhere! We didn’t know that the 15th day of Spring Festival (the other name for Chinese New Year) is called the Lantern Festival. And people actually light lanterns! Couldn’t catch quality photos with our phones, but it was spectacular to see the night sky filled with floating lights. Create a free website or blog at WordPress.com.

On the road less-traveled. August 4, 2013. This Spring (yes, I realize it is now August), after a good 3 months of Winter, we retreated from the grey city life to the mountains of a neighboring province for some r&r with friends. It was wonderful. It was so q u i e t. We woke up to quiet. And frosty windows and lots of time to read. So thankful for our dear friends. You know what I mean? This weekend was the first time I pulled my camera out since being in China. I loved it. Join 36 other followers.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. . ." (Psalm 122:6). Sunday, August 21, 2011. 1 AM in Jerusalem. Perched on a rock protrusion in the Arabian Sea, Haji Ali Dargah is as austere as it is pedestrian. Located in the area of Worli in Mumbai, the mausoleum is dedicated to the revered Muslim saint and pilgrim, Pir Haji Ali Shah Bukhari, who is buried in the inner tomb inside this vast, regnant monument. From a sociological perspective, this particular ecosystem at Haji Ali Mosque, physically and religio...

On the road less-traveled. August 23, 2013. Beautifully documented our time together. It pains me to see Giddo’s state and expressions in these photos. I debated whether I should share them or not. He looks worse here than I ever saw him or knew him…how he looks here is not how I remember him. But not hopeless. We knew he was in pain and because of God’s grace on his life, he’d soon be in Paradise, enjoying the face of Jesus. We enjoyed our wedding resting in that assurance. August 4, 2013. This weekend ...

Traveling Literati | experiencing literature beyond the written page
Experiencing literature beyond the written page. Toy shopping on a rainy day. At the end of the day, thanks to closed stores and invisible shops, we only managed to visit one bookstore. And one eatery. The day’s book count: 0. Oddly enough, our bookstore hopping excursion led us to purchase zero books, but we brought home two pieces of Sarah Faulkner. Art and a host of literary toys. Here are my finds:. Comments : Leave a Comment. The best part about Andalusia is the grounds. The house sits on over 5...
