Conclusions Of Jordan - Diaries of a Traveling ManChild

http://www.travelingmanchild.com/diaries-of-a-traveling-manchild/conclusions-of-jordan

Diaries of a Traveling ManChild. Jordanians, while their direct and forward approach is surprising at first, are quite friendly and I had little problem getting around using English. When I did have issues communicating there was always an English speaking Jordanian near by to help out. My first experiences in what I thought would be a much more conservative Islamic country ended up being more progressive than I thought. Days On The Road! Proudly powered by Weebly.

Israel Border Crossing - Diaries of a Traveling ManChild

http://www.travelingmanchild.com/diaries-of-a-traveling-manchild/israel-border-crossing

Diaries of a Traveling ManChild. So long Jordan, hello Israel! Going into/out of Israel is a pain in the ass.this is known. Since only 4 of the 22 countries in the Arab League recognize Israel as a country and with Iran regularly calling to "wipe Israel off the face of earth" they're quite suspicious. After several bag checks, I got the third degree on why I was coming in. "Where are you coming from", "Where are you going", "Where are you staying? What are you going to see when you're there? Shortly afte...

Diaries of a Traveling ManChild. My hostel is located right next to the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Beihai Park Hutong district and Jingshan Park, so I spent the entire day walking central Beijing. The monuments and squares are quite impressive as you can imagine. Beijing - Day 1 And The First Folly. Diaries of a Traveling ManChild. Dubai In A Day. You have to go through the Mall of Dubai to go to the Burj Khalifa but that is a marathon in and of itself, it's HUGE! It's 4 or 5 stories high, has it's own Aquarium and takes at least 25 minutes to walk the perimeter of it. Once I do find the base of the building, my thoughts of going to the top are quickly dashed. Completely wreaked.but hey look at the fish! Conclusions of Sri Lanka. Photo credit to Andre on this one. After a week of so-so food and beef...

Jubilant In Jordan - Diaries of a Traveling ManChild

Diaries of a Traveling ManChild. THE MOST AMAZING HUMUS AND FALAFEL ON THE PLANET. They also serve a tea which I'm pretty sure is 50% sugar, but you also throw in a handful of mint leaves and it is addicting. I actually wasn't a huge fan of humus before, but I was licking bowl to finish this meal and left with a sugar high. With this tea and all the dessert bakeries I see, it's no surprise the Middle East leads the world in Type II Diabetes. Days On The Road! Proudly powered by Weebly.

The traveling manatees by Nancy French

The traveling manatees by Nancy French. Rockland-Maine Lobster Festival and Painting. Our final week in Rockland, luckily, coincided with the 68th Annual Maine Lobster Festival. As a non-profit community fund raiser, the 1000 plus volunteers are integral to its success. An estimated 90,000 people were in attendance over the 5-day event. While I explored Rockland on foot during our last week, Alan participated in a workshop in Belfast and Camden, with the renowned watercolorist, Alvaro Castagnet. As a...

Univerzita Karlova V Praze

Univerzita Karlova V Praze. Wednesday, February 10, 2010. I promised Beth that I would do one last blog entry. A "I'm back in Kenosha and missing Prague.a lot." article. Life has gone back to normal. Hard classes. Lots of reading. A beautiful lake, but no more pretty Prague skyline. And overall, I miss it. I miss the language and culture and hot chocolate and soup and friends and independence and.fun. One last thought about the whole thing: Best. Five. Months. EVER. Curious bout the inside of a tram?
