Monday, May 27, 2013. Equine Institute - Combined Training One Day Event. After Northwest we packed up the ponies and Traveler's son - Timbuktu - and headed to Cle Elum for the One Day event. Timbuktu did it - he was a little nervous being his first event of the season and the second one in his life - but we managed to complete it and place 7th! He did well in dressage - we made it through cross-country with only one "scary" fence and stadium with it's one "scary" fence. NWEC May Classic - Open Novice.

At least it was until today and we have started out spring tune-ups on all the horses and are beginning to fill up the calendar with compeition dates. Monday, June 27, 2011. He also amazed us AGAIN by winning 1st Place in the Jumper in Hand class and the Hunter in Hand class. In fact, after the first round, the judge stopped the class to compliment me on him and his amazing jumping ability. I would just trot him to a fence, make a kissing sound and he would bound over it.
