Sunday, April 19, 2009. Well, when it's most inconvenient, we finally got our big snow! We had a hairy trip back up to our house, and it snowed all night Friday and most of the day Saturday. It finally stopped around 6:00, and we had over 3 feet of snow! It's melting pretty quickly though. It's 47 today, and is supposed to be in low 60's this week. Now they're worried about flooding. Thursday, September 10, 2009. My gosh, it's hard to believe that I've been back from Illinois for almost 5 weeks now. The time just flies by! No cracks about age, please.) I had a great visit, but as usual a week wasn't nearly long enough. Our family reunion was lots of fun, but not enough time to visit with everyone. Tuesday, January 25, 2011. Nothing that exciting going on out west. No snow to speak of yet - flurries here and there, then gone the next day. Thursday is going to be near 50 up here, and 60 in the Springs. Then more normal temps for awhile, around 40. Ted and I actually went out this past Saturday night - woohoo! Saturday, October 24, 2009. Another exciting day in Manitou Springs - a parade and the Emma Crawford coffin races! Manitou is a bit freaky (remember the Mardi Gras Parade? But this was alot of fun. Very well organized and orderly. The parade had all of the hearses first, then all of the coffins and their teams, and they went down one side of the street, then up the other. Very creative people! Friday, January 1, 2010. I can't believe Christmas is over already! We were so excited to have Christmas here in Colorado, and there was so much decorating and preparation, and it just flew by. It was so difficult to bring Jenni, Dan and the boys back to Denver to go home. We had a wonderful time though, while they were here. Thursday, February 19, 2009. Paleontologist in the Making? Ben got a dino excavation kit for Christmas (I think). I'm sorry, I don't remember yesterday, let alone who gave it to him! After church on Sunday, he decided that he had to do it right then. It didn't matter that he had church clothes on, nothing was going to stop him from getting it done. Saturday, June 20, 2009. So the school year is finally over.yay! We ended it with Joey's birthday party on 5/30 and Max's graduation on 6/7. Joey's party ended up being quite the event. Sunday, August 30, 2009. I really am enjoying the last few days of boring life before things really kick into high gear.
