http://connieqltr.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Fabric, yarn, cats. life is good! Sunday, September 4, 2011. Those of you who've been reading this for a while might have noticed that I occasionally become fixated on a certain kind of projects. There was the Dear Jane phase. That started the blog, followed by the baby blanket phase of '08. Several beading jags, and the ever-present socks. The current obsession is bags. Again. I got some free fabric at quilt camp in May, so I used a couple of pieces to make this little bag. A couple of months ago, I spe...

Fabric, yarn, cats. life is good! Tuesday, January 31, 2012. One of my knitting friends decided that February is for Finishing. I took a look at the list of of my projects on the right and decided that might not be a bad idea. Especially since I have a Quilt Camp weekend coming up in a couple of weeks. The idea is that we work on the projects we already have going and not start anything new. I plan to concentrate on these knitting projects:. Limited edition Vancouver Five Rings yarn. The sweater is short...

Fabric, yarn, cats. life is good! Saturday, May 19, 2012. Have you ever wondered what to do with your empty goat, horse and chicken feed bags? Well wonder no more - make tote bags out of them! Today I'm going to tell you how. I have a friend with a farm nearby. I find it easier do to this assembly line style, but you can make just one if you're not stocking a farm stand. Fold them flat, nice and neat along the existing creases and weigh them down for a bit to get them back in shape. They're easier to...

Fabric, yarn, cats. life is good! Friday, September 28, 2012. MIA part 2: vacation. July 4, 2001. So this time we decided to meet on the left coast, specifically, Fort Stevens State Park, on the Oregon coast very near the Washington state line. The Bunch has grown since then. The two oldest boys for some reason didn't want to go on a cross country train ride with their parents. Teenagers - go figure. :-). July 11, 2012, photo stolen from JulieZ. Our home away from home, one of the four, that is. I had a ...

http://connieqltr.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Fabric, yarn, cats. life is good! Wednesday, January 1, 2014. I guess I'll start with some catching up. I'm still in the same house, with the same job, and all of the cats are happy and healthy. I've been doing a lot of crafting and some redecorating at home so it's probably a good idea to break this up into a few posts. I'll start with finished knitting projects that were in progress last time. My plain vanilla socks made with Destination Yarn in the Vancouver 2010 Five Rings colorway;. Next, some Groov...

Fabric, yarn, cats. life is good! Saturday, July 30, 2011. How I spent my summer vacation. In addition to that, I had to have some minor air conditioning maintenance done and a couple of lights replaced on my car. Yippee. However, it hasn't been all bad. My friends from opposite coasts were in town at the same time. We haven't all been together in 10 years, when we took this picture:. We haven't changed a bit, right? Since my last post, there's been food, made from the yummy CSA produce:. There has been ...

http://connieqltr.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Fabric, yarn, cats. life is good! Monday, October 31, 2011. Dyeing for a party. Yes, that has an 'e' in it. The weekend before last some of my knitting friends got together for a yarn dyeing party. With this group, that included good food, lots of laughs and some knitting thrown in. I didn't take any pictures at the party, but here's what I came home with. I hadn't intended to make Cleveland Browns colors, it just kind of worked out that way. They just scream CHRISTMAS! Mystery Socks by Antje Gillingham.

Connie's Quilt-Knit Blog: August 2011
http://connieqltr.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Fabric, yarn, cats. life is good! Friday, August 5, 2011. Water, water everywhere, but not a drop to drink. Or, the latest chapter in Connie vs. Water. In our last episode, we learned that the Evil Chimney Monster was shooting mortar onto the roof. Notice the hole on the left side. Mister Mason Man came to the rescue on Wednesday and put the Chimney Monster in it's place. Take that, Chimney Monster! Wow, my yard looks horrible. A couple of hours later, Spike showed up and started attacking the street.

Connie's Quilt-Knit Blog: Bag lady 2012
http://connieqltr.blogspot.com/2012/06/bag-lady-2012.html
Fabric, yarn, cats. life is good! Friday, June 29, 2012. I've been on a bit of a bag kick lately. In addition to the 30-odd feed bag totes, I've made just a few others. It started with this little project bag with the cupcake fabric. Just right for a pair of socks. Then I moved on to this. It's the Key West Plus tote, made from the Florida version of the Trace 'n Create Template from Clover. It's a little floppy, though, and I wanted something a little more sturdy. I added an inner zipper pocket. For the...
